Human or Synthetic?
Many women choose synthetic fiber wigs because they are easier to maintain and less expensive however human hair wigs win when it comes to natural feel and styling versatility. Human hair wigs allow you to reset the curls with heated appliances (curling irons, hot rollers, blow dryers, etc.) whereas synthetic wigs would melt if heated. Synthetic wigs tend to hold their settings longer and are considered rather "low maintenance" compared to the human hair wigs.

Can I wash my wig?
Absolutely! Depending on climate and lifestyle, your wig should be washed every 8-10 wears or at least once every week, if worn daily. Before washing, you must detangle wig using a detangler (or diluted conditioner) and wire brush. Start detangling from ends to root to prevent breakage. Immerse wig in cool to warm (not hot) water using a gentle shampoo (do not rub!). Allow wig to soak for a few minutes and remove. Squeeze out excess water or towel dry without rubbing or twisting. Apply conditioner and rinse, if desired.

How do I dry my wig?
After washing, try to remove as much water as possible by squeezing the hair with your fingers. Allow wig to completely air dry on a dry towel or wire stand. Once wig is dry, style as usual. Note: for synthetic wigs, DO NOT apply heat or place near a heated source, including in the sun!!

How do I store my wig?
When you are not wearing your wig, it should be stored on a wig stand to maintain its style and shape. Brush with a wire brush to remove any tangles and cover with a hair net to prevent matting. Avoid storing your wig near heat sources, where they can get wet or dirty.

My wig is shedding. What do I do?
It is common for wigs to sometimes shed, especially if the hair is silky straight. If you notice shedding, take a bonding glue and apply to the wefted section of the cap for reinforcement.
